Rayeith burst through the iron gate and into the open air. It was evening now and the canal surrounding the imperial city shone with an unnatural orange. The amazing view and the fresh air were great, and all, but Rayeith was just happy to have escaped the sewer rats. He could hear there scurrying as they turned tail and ran back into the sanctuary of the sewers. He really hated rats. But, all things aside, Rayeith still needed to get farther away from the city. At least until this was all forgotten. but where would he go? Resting beneath a nearby tree, Rayeith pondered his options. He could stay with friends to the along the coast, but that might be a problem. If he remembered correctly, there were rumors pointing toward an oblivion gate in that direction. The last thing he needed right now was to run into a gate unprepared. He could head for the mountains, but he wasn't fond of the idea of climbing mountains in just his clothes and old robe. Which left the swamps or the forests. Thinking it over for a minute, Rayeith decided the swamps would be his best option. Raptor-country was filled with useful plants that he could use for his alchemy. And if there was any pursuit (which he doubted there would be), he could easily lose them in the swamplands. So, with his mind made up, Rayeith began his long walk toward escape; toward Chorrol.

Reirna carefully led the sheep to a bench in front of her hut and sat him down. It was a modest home by any means but she did her best to make it a home, planting flowers outside and painting the wood to give it a more attractive feel. While all raptors shared a harmony with nature, few really enjoyed gardening. "Careful, no need to be afraid we are not as savage as we may look." she smiled warmly trying to ease him. She put her claw on his forehead were the injury was and muttered a few words in the heavily hiss accented raptor language. Her claw began to glow blue fiercely, also illuminating the nearby hut and ground. Her shiney orbs seemed aflame and a aura of power built around her.
Tezztor puffed as he walked into the gate, furious with the defiance of the dragoness. "How dare she come to our land and disrespect us" he fumed as a beggar landed and stumbled into him. He growled and shoved the beggar out of the way causing him to fall to the ground. "Filth" he said as his green eyes burning pitiful holes into the downtrodden beggar. Around him most of the towns raptors were bustling with rumor and speculation over the emperor's murder, none paying all that much attention to the large barbarian or the squadron of raptor soldiers returning from the gate. The raptor assassin made his way over to the hut lines with flowers, a blue glue overcoming him as he approached.

Buddy sat down heavily on the bench, looking around at his surroundings sleepily but not saying a word. He looked struck dumb right now, as if coherant thought and speech was long past his abilities. The only signal that he could see what was going on was when his eyes flicked up to the claw on his forehead, then around as the orbs began to light up like wierd coloured candles. His unblinking stare was a bit more than unnerving, large brown eyes locked on the shining orbs as the raptor woman cast whatever encantation she was doing on him. He guessed he was feeling a bit better... The cuts had stopped stinging at least.

Rigor sat by the gate of the town, staring at the sky that was more a pallor gray than blue. The clouds had come and ceased their territory, not necessarily promising rain so much as hung there in a slow silent dance. She was bored.. And she hated it. Her gaze shifted from the sky to the troop of raptors that shuffled their way inside. There was a lot of talk about murder, some emperor apparently. Shrugging, she stood to her feet and stretched, taking the time to stretch even her toes. Her tail lazily curled around a rock, and brought it up to her claw. She tossed it up and down, up and down, allowing her thoughts to wrap around the idea of bouncing it off the fuming male's head. She grinned toothily at the thought, beaming him right in the back of the head, while her scales rippled and made her invisible to the naked eye. Thankfully, the beggar was in front of her at the time of impact...

Reirna holds her pose, casting on the sheep's injury. Under her claw the wound healed quickly and left no noticeable scar. She lifted her claw and smiled gently, 'There you go all better, shouldn't be giving you any pain or nausea anymore." Aside from the stained blood it no longer appeared as if he had ever been injured. She walked into the hut and returned with a wet cloth and began to clear away some of the blood. A disatisfied smirk washed over her face when she realized she couldn't clean the blood that had gotten into his wool. "Sorry" she insisted like it was her fault. A few feet away Tezztor sneered. "What is he your child now? I'm sure hes capable of washing himself. That is unless he lacks the mental capacity to..." he stopped suddenly as something smacked him in the back of the head.
Furiously he turned around searching for the culprit, his frustrated grin turned into a fully fanged snarl. "Who threw the rock?" he said commanding an answer. Then he noticed the beggar looking at him like a deer trapped in the headlights, his ears curled in worry. The raptor's eyes slanted, focusing on the beggar. "You picked the wrong raptor to throw at!" he roared as he took off towards the beggar with amazing speed. In a flash of green blue he clashed the beggar across the muzzle savagely, turning his clawed assault into a roundhouse kick which left his killer claw tearing across the beggar stomach. The beggar gasps and fell to the ground bleeding profusely. "Filth" Tezztor remarked

Buddy groaned softly and rubbed his head slightly, his thoughts were clearing now as if the sponge washed the aches away. He came to his senses just in time to see Tezztor almost gut a begar on the street for throwing a rock at him... However the man seemed to be completely surprised and terrified of these actions. Gingerly Buddy picked up the rock between two fingers and sniffed it lightly. Sheep couldn't growl but a look crossed over his face as if he'd just eaten lamb; Buddy standing up at once, if slightly unsteadily, and walking purposefully to Tezztor's side. His free hard fist clenched tight while the other one tried not to touch too much of the rock's surface. When he got to the male raptor's side it looked like it was a toss up between punching him or making the smart move; finally Buddy thrust out the rock and said loudly "It's got that walking jack-o-lantern's smell all over it. He's innocent."

Rigor's scales rippled again, and she appeared by the gate where had been standing, her hand over her mouth as if to choke back a laugh. She had a moon face grin; wide, toothy, slightly lopsided.. Wrong. Her lips were pulled back to the point of seeing the purple flesh of her gums, which was not uncommon. She finally uttered a giggle, loud enough to make the raptor's gaze turn on her. When she was sure of his attention, she simply stated, "Hot head."

Tezztor growls and unsheathes his demon's bane dagger, growling in anger at the disrespect he was receiving. "Why would you show such disrespect in our own city, foolish female." he snarled twirling the dagger around his claw. The purple gem in the middle began to glow, sensing dark energies nearby. His muscles twitched as he readied to lunge at her, but suddenly a calming gaze washed over his face as if he were in a drunken stupor. He rocked back and forth as if his mind where completely lost to him and the dagger fell from his claws hitting the ground with a crackle of electricity. Several feet to the side Reirna stood, he claw extended in Tezztor's direction, a soft beam of yellows and golds extending from her claws to his head. "Down boy, now go take a nap and cool off." She commanded, no sooner then she finished Tezztor walked off towards their hut and went inside. She flicked her wrist releasing the spell which sent shockwaves outward. "Forgive Tezztor, he only means to protect me and our life here. He has been acting strange lately." she said in a comforting, almost sorrowful tone.
She reached down to pick up the dagger but stopped short and let it be. "I almost forget never to tough that thing." she said pausing for a moment. "You two are welcome to stay here, we have a guest room if either of you would like it." she offered while fixing the strap on her blouse as if nobody were around. "Reirna" a voice called from behind, in a overly exaggerated knightly manner. A Raptor clad in expensive and elaborte plated armor strode up, his walk seemingly practiced his mannerisms as if entertaining royalty. Reirna cringed and turned towards him. "Hello Kiolosk" she said in a faked tone of enjoyment. He smiled and took her claw and kissed it, "M'lady the sun in the sky hardly shines bright enough to compete with the beauty that radiates off you." he smiled cheekishly and adjusted himself as if posing for invisible cameras. "When are you going to leave that hovel and come live with me in the castle? You would have the finest appointments and everything you could ever want. Unless your actually interested in that raptor, I can't even remember his name he isn't that important." he offered before bursting out in laughter.
Reirna stared at him, one of her brows a bit raised from the other as she faked a laugh. "I bet its nice this castle of yours but I can't we have gone over this. I'm sorry but I really need to get going." she said waving goodbye before turning away from him and rolling her eyes. "Sorry you two but I have to go" she said with a friend as she opened her maw and put her finger in it as if to gag.

The look on Buddy's face quite plainly radiated dislike at the new raptor, by the Gods he was acting creepy... Swanning over the married woman as if vows meant nothing to him. He didn't keep his gaze on them for long though, there was a reason he'd come over here anyway, and that reason was pooling around his feet at the moment. He knelt down beside the beggar, patting down his jacket to see if he could find anything sharp. With a soft sigh he realised that if there had been anything sharp he would have embedded it in his chest when he fell earlier; there was nothing else for it then. He gripped a huge clump of wool between his fingers and with a vicious yank removed half the sopping wet wool from his head. Litle beads of blood were running down his head again and the pain made him dizzy for a second but both stopped quickly as Buddy worked, stretching and wringing out the wool before tying it tight over the wound in the beggar's belly. "You'll be ok" he said softly to the man on the street, tightening the make shift bandage so the bleeding stopped "You'll be alright." Buddy only hoped that these words were true, the man had lost a lot of blood.

Looking at the ornate raptor, Othar became intensely irritated. Had anyone like him been in the Northlands, he would surely have been killed by wolves if the village didn't get to him first. Thinking of the possibility of getting away, Othar tapped the great oaf of a raptor and as soon as his head turned, slammed his fist into the imbecile's head, not holding back an ounce of force. This one would learn why he was called the fury of the north.

The ornamental plated raptor's eyes lusted on the female raptor as she walked away. His lips pulled into a devious smile until he felt a tapping on his shoulder. Upon turning to look to see what it was he was set upon by a bone crushing blow from the large barbarian. The world around him seemed to spin and sway, figures loosing their shape and appearing gelatinous. "How... dare...." he struggled before falling over. Several minutes went by as the world danced around him before he regained some semblance of consciousness. "Wha.. Why did you hit me you blundering oaf. Guess We can't expect much of the humans of this land to show civility." he remarked rubbing his jaw.
Reirna entered the door to meet a gaze by Tezztor, he seemed a little less then accepting of her crowd control methods. "Why did you do that to me? She had disrespected me and you let her get away with it. That dishonors me." he said angrily. She walked up to him and sat on his lap and nuzzled him for comfort and looked into his eyes. "Sometimes you have to forgive and forget, show the outsiders that raptors are not savage creatures. Your better then that Tezzy I know you are" she said with a kiss. He couldnt help but warm up to her, she always could calm him down. "I guess your right, I'm lucky to have such a wise raptoress like yourself. How do you manage to pacify me raptors are immune to mind spells."
She readjusted herself to rest her head on his shoulder so that her muzzle lay under his. "There are other ways to pacify anger, soothing the soul is one of them." she smiled. He happily ran his claws up and down her sides softly. "Now if only you would let me permanently soothe that foolish raptor knight, all would be good. He just doesn't take a hint." he said with a bit of distaste. She nuzzled him, "Hes a knight your just a hunter I wouldn't want you to risk getting yourself killed." Tezztor didn't answer he merely stared into space. "Yeah a hunter." he thought. He could never let her known the truth, it could bring too much strife into their lives. He just wanted what was best for her. "So.." he started. "Are any of our new... friends going to be staying here?" he asked

Buddy waved towards Reirna, trying to get her to come to his side as he knelt at the beggar's side. He wished he knew how to heal injuries himself, but his make shift wool bandages would do for a little while he supposed. He gripped onto the scruffy man's wrist, trying to find a pulse through the dirty skin "Hey? Can you hear me? Stay awake alright? I'll buy you a beer in the pub afterwards huh..." He looked around again in panic, wishing someone would help him; he looked up at Rigor and scowled, wondering why she wasn't doing anything to help the sheep.

Looking down at the pitiful raptor, Othar grabbed him by the front of his armor and held him up above his head. "You think just because you have more money, a 'higher' social class, and more land than these raptors here, that you are better than them? I am no human, nor am I nord. What I am is of no concern to you. I am the fury of the north, and your life has reached its end." Throwing this snob into the air, Othar jumped onto him, relentlessly pummeling his face. Before anyone could stop him, Othar took the raptors head in his hands and abruptly made him see what the ground he was laying upon looked like. The kind female whom the "knight" sought would be sought no more, left to her chosen mate, without the constant pursuit of any "knight." Especially not this one.

Rayeith finally escaped from the thick forest and stumbled into a vast clearing surrounded by trees. The sky was beginning to burn with an orange intensity as night collided with day in the evening air. This looked like just as good a place as any for a campsite, so Rayeith unpacked his sleeping bag and built a tiny fire at its side. As soon as the flame was kindled and dancing, he slipped into the bag and watched as the first stars fought to break through the orange pastels. It would be a peaceful night beneath the stars, then he would set out once more for the raptor town of Chorrol once more.

Reirna sat up after a long a sensual kiss, breathing heavily in excitement. "Whew better not get me started." she teased and stood up. A noticeably sour look came over Tezztor's face as he raised a brow. "What about me? I was plenty started." he said in a joking manner, even though he truly meant it. He stood up and kissed her again and hugged her. "You mean so much to me" he said looking into her eyes. She smiled back and and in a flirty manner she replied. "I love you too, but you still aren't getting any right now" she laughed and walked out of the door, the rejected male raptor in tow. As she got out of the door he grabbed her tail and tugged playfully. "Hey!" she gasped as she turned around and smacked him.
She turned back around and noticed the knighted raptor laying on the ground dead. "Oh no!" she said as she ran up to him. "What have you done?" she asked in a worried tone. In reality she didn't really care about his death as much as the authorities coming to look for her. It was a well known fact in his circles that he liked her. Tezztor walked up behind her and embraced her. "It's ok I won't let anything happen to you. You didn't do anything there are witnesses to that." he said giving a gaze to the large human-like creature standing near the corpse. Despite killing a raptor in the middle of a raptor town, He could help but admire the large being. He was actually thankful that the noble would no longer try to bother his mate. He simply nodded.
After a few moments of calming down she noticed the sheep helping that injured beggar. "Oh." she said as if suddenly remembering what had happened. She knelt down beside the sheep and casted the same spell, bathing them all in blue. "Stay still it helps the process." she said before muttering a long verse in the raptor tongue. The wounds on the beggar healed at a alarming rate, closing and leaving no scar behind. "There ya go" she smiled warmly
