This role-play will be set in the dark ages in a vast forested area with a great lake in the center. In the center on a island lays a circular city housing the lands nobles and elite military forces. Strewn across the land are various keeps with towns surrounding them. Along the land you will find ruins, dungeons and caves teeming with treasure and hostile life such as goblins and etc.
Many different kids of furs live in this land and for the most part aside from racial disputes it lived in relative peace. That is until the emperor died. While alive the emperor bore a magical amulet known as the Amulet of Kings and as long as he gave breath it protected the realm from invasion from the demonic hordes of oblivion.
With the emperor and all of his known airs dead, the land has fallen into chaos. Even worse are the oblivion gates popping up all over, spewing forth demonic hordes to plunder and destroy all life. Rumors are spreading around that a illegitimate air may exist and be able to bear the Amulet of kings and restore peace to the land. it has also been rumored the cult of Demon's Birth is recruiting members to help out in the invasion for promise of power and riches.
All participants will start off as a race of their own choosing, with little more then rags and a basic weapon. From your starting point, you can set forth to adventure and make your own wealth, Help the invading forces conquer the lands or help find the air to restore peace.
Rules are as follows
- No god modding. If you run into somebody opposing your faction try to be fair if it comes to fighting. Give Them a chance to take part in the fight.
- Killed players may restart as a fresh character.
- Try to keep up to date on whats going on and of the events going on. For example if certain somebody whoiswhatstheirname is having a critical moment in their role-play such as finding a epic weapon or etc. Don't be a fool and just magically run up and steal it. Its not fun for somebody to try to build up a story only to have it mindlessly tossed out the window.
- Your character has no affiliations to other participants, they will be as if a random person you meet on the street.
- Any species is allowed even humans. Try to role-play in accordance to your species strengths. A human wouldn't be as physically able as a Raptor for instance. Or a dragon would definitely have more power over arcane arts then a Tiger etc.
For those not in the know, this is based off one of my favorite video games of all time, Oblivion.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The raptor walked up the road, carrying a load of furs he had been collecting over the past two weeks. It was a dirty job hardly worth of the talent's he possessed, but everybody needed work with the wars of Raptor and lion over. He wiped the moisture from his scaley brow as he passed the stables and entered the gates of the town of Chorrol.
It was early afternoon, and the winter's chill was nipping upon the air. The town would need these furs soon enough to replace the ragged cloth most villagers tended to wear. It was a boarder town mostly consisting of raptor ilk, who were none too fond of outsiders. They lived a modest life as most raptors did, used to the rugged lands of the marshes, but where no less happy and content.
He put the furs down by the trapper's hut and went inside to collect his fee. Once inside he noticed everybody seemed wrought with panic and emotion. "What is going on?" he asked trying to overcome the conversation of the room. A female raptor turned to him, she was a good friend of his. "Tezztor it's horrible, the emperor and his three sons have been killed. Even worse they say these demonic gates are popping up everywhere!"
He stood there in shock, it was unbelievable usually the emperor was heavily guarded. "What about the imperial guard or the paladins of the temple? Aren't they trained to deal with such things?" he asked her solemnly. She hugged him, obviously worried. "I dunno. Nobody has heard anything from the empire. I hear the count has sent runners back to the marsh, asking for royal battlemages to send help to protect us.
It was evident in her voice she was worried about what might happen to their village. Long has their people fought against the lions of the empire, now finally being able to settle down and see it all taken away was worrying for them. Tezztor embraced her trying to calm her. "It will be fine hun calm down. I'm sure at least the raptor council won't let us be besieged by demonic forces."

Usually Buddy attempted to avoid the villages not too welcome of outsiders when coming from the Marsh lands on the outskirts, specially if they were known predators. Today however he had no choice in the matter, his usual route seemed unusally busy and he didn't want to get caught up in the crowds.
The sheep man ran over the broken ground as if it were completely flat, feet steady as they pounded across rocks and as they landed heavily after leaping a particularly marshy area. He was only meters away from the raptor's town now and already he was starting to sweat, in his advanced years of long distance running it took him miles to break out in a sweat usually but it was nerves making him perspire now. He hated hunters, they always eyed him like a prize; he swore that he heard some of them wondering how far he could run before a knife got him in the back of the head in a bar one night. He had to go through the raptor's streets however, the outskirts of the town were too marshy for Buddy to be able to move quickly. He just had to dash through and hope for the best.
The first fires were in sight now, usually a welcoming view all it did was make Buddy think of the cooking pot. He wiped the salty sweat from his eyes, blinking them clear but never loosing speed or stability. As he got nearer to the town he noticed a commotion at his sight, a clammering of people coming from their houses to look at him. Little did he know that they were expecting a runner back from the marsh themselves with a reply from the battle mages. Instead his mind flashed to images of his past and his hand shifted to a scar hidden under his flowing wool on his chest; nerves took hold and his speed picked up. He knew he'd have to rest after this, but right now he just wanted to get through the raptor's town unharmed.

"I have been hunting most of the past few days and have yet to find a single demonic gate, so I think for now we are safe. Calm down please." he said softly, still trying to calm her down. He had never seen her so panicked before, even when they were at war and her family was taken she was really calm. "Look at me!" he commanded, lifting her muzzle softly with his claw. "I won't let anything happen to you, you know this."
She looked up at him and forced a smile. "Thank you, you have always been a good friend to me even through the darkest of times" Her voice took a softer tone, but one that wasn't surprising between the two. They had originally been a pair, not yet fully mated but they were so close it would be hard to tell the difference. The war tore them apart as Tezztor was sent away on some secret missions and couldn't return for several years. It had become a joke between the two how he was like some sort of secret agent, she always thought he was a diplomat. Upon his return they had grown apart and decided to remain friends till a better, more peaceful time would allow them to settle down and maybe even breed.
In truth though Tezztor was a assassin, a very skilled one but he never wanted to tell her. He felt his dirty deeds would be best left to superstition and rumor then truth, but it wasn't for his own sake. What he truly wanted was to remain respectable for her sake, even though assassin's were common in the raptor military. being a professional killer wasn't something he wanted to brag about. He smiled at her, "Thats the tough girl I know, we will get through this. If the massive lion empire couldn't defeat us what chance to demons have?" he said not really sure if that comment was valid as demons could be extremely dangerous.
They both smiled and walked outside the city gates together, his arm draped around her shoulder. "Its a beautiful day out here, next time you need to take me on one of your hunting trips." she said insisting. "Helping to process our flocks of sheep for mutton to feed the town is hardly exciting" she added. He didn't seem to respond and it frustrated her a bit, he just stared off down the road. "Hey are you listening to me?!" she yelled as she raked her claws across his arm.
There was a sheep hastily making its way towards the town, a anthro sheep unlike the herds in the nearby pasture. Raptors near the gate dropped what they were doing and began staring at the oncoming outsider. "I think another sheep is about to be processed." he said urgently pointing to their visiter. "Oh the puns just write themselves, c'mon we have to stop him." They both ran down the road towards him, hoping he didn't take it as an attack.

Buddy passed the pastures quickly, his arms and feet were almost a blur as he motored across the uneven floor. He smelt the sheep waiting in the fields, oh how he hated the tamed animals, they stared at him as if he had betrayed their kind. Every time he passed the cook houses and he smelt the raw meat, it was like someone had cut a chunk from his own chest.
His gaze ripped from the shrinking image of the pens, though the smell stayed with him and burnt in his lungs with every breath. The new sight kept the unfamiliar chill in his bones however, two raptors were staring directly at him and they were moving towards him. The smell of living meat and the sight of two predators stalking after him, it was too much for the poor anrtho sheep. He couldn't slow, not now, he'd cause an accident or pepper the town with chunks of rock.
His wool was becoming damp with the steam rising from his working muscles, slickening it down to his forehead and dripping beads of hot liquid trickling from him. At least the only chill he could feel was the freezing terror of approaching doom. A rock crunched under his foot as he pushed forward, legs flicking out at top speed as he attempted to run like hell past the reptiles.
The blur of white and brown was approaching the two quickly, bare feet slamming against the floor hard enough to break the bones of a human. He clenched his fists tight as he got nearer and nearer, he let out a yell of complete terror that seemed more like a bleet and thrust his head down so his horns aimed towards the two. The mass of curled bone pointed at the raptors, a screaming ram rod hurtling towards the raptors. It was either move or get ran over by the terrified sheep. It was a defining moment, a sheep was actually dangerous in this town.

Tezztor stopped dead in his tracks, noticing the sheep's hostile intent. "I think he means to attack!" he yelled as motioned for the female raptor to get out of the way. Instead of obeying she stood her ground firmly, ready to dodge the oncoming sheep. She had dealt with them on a daily basis and knew that if she could dodge it at the correct time, she could trip it and he could restrain it. "Be ready to hold it down" she said in a anxious tone. Tezztor nodded and awaited the right moment.

She didn't need to worry though, Buddy was loosing concentration in his absolute terror. The smell of the sheep in the field was clouding his mind to the point he became as dumb as they were. His foot slipped as it crunched against the ground and he did a spectacular flip, literal head over heels until he landed on his back heavily.
He was still heading forward though, tough tunic scraping off the ground as he skidded along; even though he wasn't charging anymore his horns were still dangerous, skipping across the ground on his back with his horns thudding off the floor repeatedly. The sickening sound of bone thudding off the floor rang out like a peel of bells in the silence greeting this horrific, entertaining sight. He was slowing down now, every hollow thud of his body hitting the ground after leaping a few inches was followed by a long slide across the floor.

Both raptors must of seemed like a extraordinary sight looking on with a expression of pure surprise as the sheep tumbled forward into a unnatural roll of epic proportions. They merely stepped out of the way as he slid past to a halt. Drawing his blade, Tezztor casually stepped forward with her in tow till the both overlooked him. "Not a smart idea to attempt to attack my friend.. sheep." he said angrily as he pinned the sheep to the ground with his taloned foot, pointing the blade at the sheep's throat. "What business do you have here? And you had better apologize for the aggressive behavior towards my girl. Or else I'll have a hard time coming up with an excuse to keep those hungry raptors over there from feeding their families." He commanded the answer in a firm tone, accented by the heavy hiss in his voice. He withdrew the blade and gave him a chance to get up.
The female raptor looked at him with a smile, enjoying his comment introducing her as his girl. "Why would you charge a town full of raptors?" she asked, her voice a good deal softer then his. "You trying to commit suicide?" she added. She had never seen a sheep anthro before, much less heard of one. He was a marvel to be sure, if not a bit misplaced in a area full of predators who make dinner of sheep their species no different. She offered her claw to help him up.

Buddy was hardly in a situation to answer the questions, the horns were connected straight to his skull after all and with them hitting the ground every second he was stunned for a moment. His leather jacket was still in tact thankfully, but there was a faint hint of blood seeping from a cut on his head. In fact the only reason Tezzor wasn't on his back screaming in pain and clutching his crotch was that Buddy could only see sounds at the moment.
There was a moment of stillness, then he shook his head and spattered the floor with some blood. He sat up and clutched his head, groaning deeply as he rested his hands between his horns. He looked up, noticing the claw held out to him first. He gulped, then flailied backwards quickly until he hit the wall of a house. "Oh comeon" he groaned to himself "I had to come this way, the main road was jammed! I'm sorry!" He cringed and covered his head with his arms as best he could "I always get this. Could I run through? Noooo. Could I get into town any way apart from the sheep pens? Nooooo. I had to end up in the town full of preds, had to freak out and trip..." He seemed to be talking to himself now, mumbling and going glassy eyed now and then; blood was still leaking from a cut on his head, his clothes scuffed up and some rocks caught in his dusty horns.

The dragoness walked along the ragged road, allowing her golden eyes to wander along the cracks, not quite paying attention to her surroundings, yet being all to knowing if everything around her. The bushes shifting as a small field mouse escaped a hawk, circling in the sky. A village of reptiles nearby.. Raptors maybe..? She was too far away to tell. She wondered where the road she was following would lead her, maybe to one of those gates she had seen in other places. The plodding of her feet upon the cracking road had become a droning rhythm in her own head, fueling her, though she had no purpose. As aware as she was of things, she had no clue as to what had been going on. She only knew that her appearance seemed to disturb others.. Possibly they were comparing her to the ones that escaped the gates she had seen. Reptiles nearby.
She followed the path, seeing it leading to the village she had sensed. Rigor wondered how her appearance would effect the raptors there. Outside, she saw a sheep, male and female raptor, carefully, she stayed back, observing.

The two raptors peered over at the sheep who had apparently lost his mind. They could only wonder if all sheep anthros were this skittish. "He seems frightened out of his mind" the female raptor spoke. "He could be a danger to himself if he keeps flailing about like that." Tezztor nodded before adding his own thoughts, "Yeah but he could also hurt you, please stay back and let him cool down a bit. This must be natural for one around natural predators." The two stood there, observing the sheep waiting for him to calm down enough to understand reason and logic. He was bleeding and probably in need of aid but they felt if they got closer he might spaz and hurt himself further.
She looked around boredly as another twenty minutes went by. The sun shone brightly overhead, its warmth caressing their scales. Despite the predicament she allowed herself to smile, enjoying the chance to sun bathe. Tezztor was not as caught up, his keen senses caught the scent of another off to the side. "We are not alone out here" he said quietly and softly. It would seem to them that their little town had become a beacon of popularity. Which was different from the usual days which had no visiters at all. As sudden as a flash of light several guards rushed forth, some armed with spears others with bows. All of them precise and focused as was typical of raptor troops. "We heard a commotion out here as if there was an attack."
Tezztor looked at them and motioned for them to calm down and lower their weapons. "Its fine just a false alarm. We have a stray sheep here" Tezztor said as calmly as possible. Normally such a response wasn't warranted but with all the demonic activity in the land nobody could be too careful. "Hey you, sheep! You gonna come to your senses or we gonna have to put you down?" He shouted growing weary of this game, but receiving a elbow to the side from her.

A wild eye rolled up from between his arms as Buddy looked up at the crowding raptors. It glazed over momentarily as another gush of blood flowed into his already sweat soaked wool;he would be turning pink if he didn't get the banadage on soon. The same mad eye twisted slightly until it found the source of the scent that was not Raptor; it was lizard though. He couldn't actually see the reptile, everything was fading in and out of focus; he wished the world would stop dancing.
He had stopped talking after his first ten minutes but still sat there cradling his head; mainly because he was afraid what would happen if he exposed his face from behind his tough hands and protective horns, but also because it helped ease the dull ache coming from his skull. His eyes slammed closed suddenly, whipping his head up at once and opening them again. The sudden movement had dislodged his hands from the protective barrier and the raptors could now fully see him, the pink stain of blood still spreading out over his wooly head and starting to trickle down his back. He smiled sleepily, blinked several times as he tried to focus his eyes and almost collapsed back against the building he was leaning on. "Dun shout" he said, slurring his words quite badly "Loud. Verrry loud." He took the oppertunity to yawn widely and bring a knee up to his chest, hugging it as if it would stop him falling over "Wrude Wraptor..."

Rigor still peered at the others, feeling now her presence wasn't much of a secret now. She eyed her surroundings.. A road that lead through swamplands that seemed impassible at this point. There were only two down there that knew of her, and even so approaching seemed questionable given the current observations that she had managed to gather. Raptors seemed like a hot head species to her from the few times she saw them. A one track mind that seemed to function with anger and power.
Of course, the few times she had seen them, she was the one to light their fuse.. For they were easy in the sense that you could get under their skins and prod at their sore spots until they exploded. She smiled at the thought remembering a gold coin she had snagged for pure entertainment from a raptor assassin.

Othar looked at his map, wondering how long it would be till Chorrol. This stupid thing didn't work! How could he have walked all the way from Sancre Tor where he had found the map and spent the night after laying waste to a few undead, and have according to the map, not moved an inch! He tore the map up, and found himself staring at a town, about a half-mile down the hill. He would drink, heavily there, but first, another thing caught his eye. Movement, lots of it, and not bears! Finally, something that wouldn't try to kill him! As he made his descent, he became aware that the majority of them were Raptors, and uncommon sight for this area, but still not the strangest thing he'd seen in the past month since his departure from the Northlands, but he would most likely either be thrown out, or befriend them. There was no gray area, never was, but until he got there, he could do nothing. Running with all the speed one would expect from a great horse, He only stopped when he hit a tree, falling only 500 yards from the northern entrance. Othar blacked out, and his last thoughts were of bears finding and killing him, and the small hope that someone would rouse him.

The male raptor looked n as the sheep curled up into what could only be described as a mound of fluff. His eyes diverted to the lady holding his arm, grabbing a quick gander at her figure as they always managed to do. "I don't think he is going to snap out of it, despite our efforts to calm him down." he in a soft tone untypical of his demeanor. She simply nodded and looked towards the brush where the scent of another came from. "Please come out." she yelled hoping this other outsider would be a little less skittish. Tezztor nodded to the guards and the fixated their gaze upon the brush as the spread out around it. "Come out, there is no point to hiding." he commanded, sick of these games. There was enough trouble in the land due to the current events without others causing more.

Buddy began to grab onto the wall, using it to support himself as he began to scale it until he was standing on his own two feet again. He kept clinging to the wall as his head turned slowly to the Raptors; his gaze slowly trailed from them to the source of the smell "Come out come out wherever you are!" His sing song voice was marred by the fact halfway through he went bleary eyed and yelped softly in pain before finishing the sentence. He let go of the wall and wobbled slightly where he stood, reaching behind his head to gently touch at the cut "Owwww..." He really needed treatment for the wound soon or he'd pass out.
