Walking up behind Reirna, Othar looked down at the beggar. "Your honor is restored. Othar fears not the raptor punishment, but Othar needs a place to sleep tonight. Any thing he carries with him is yours if you like. I only ask for his key and a talon." The guards were still not coming, infact, it seemed as though the raptors whom witnessed the killing were too shocked to do anything. Othar walked back to the corpse and searched for the keys on the raptor. Upon discovery of them, he began his extraction of the large fore-talon of the dead raptor. As he worked he asked Tezztor "Where is this one's home?"

Tezztor watched Othar rip the talon from the noble, in a way it seemed a disgraceful act to allow body parts to be collected for trophies but he earned them. "He lives in the southern end of town in a large estate near the central keep. You cant miss it, it will be the ones with banners of his own image." he advised. He turned back to Reirna, his stomach growling. "Its getting late, perhaps we should head back in and get some food." She nodded at him and turned to the others. "You are welcome to join us in our home, we have food." She offered

In response to her offer, Othar says "Though I would like to stay with you, and I thank you for your hospitality, I cannot allow you two to be charged with aiding me. If you need me, I think you know where I will be." Turning, Othar began to run, but not as anyone expected. Othar went down on all fours and ran as though he was a bear, and interestingly enough, he looked it, due to the bear pelt he wore as a hooded cloak.

Lorn watched the procedings from beneath a dead oak tree down the road, his spells would keep him hidden for the time being. He had stumbled onto Chorral as he traveled searching for one of these demonic gates that captured his intrest he had hoped that the raptors would leave the begger to simply die in the streets, more toys for his experiments. He silently cursed them until the beast from up north, Othar, had beaten the other raptor to death. A grin lit up his face, all the waiting did have a point after all. He would bide his time from the shadows entertaining himself by stripping the life from a passing mouse and forcing the reanimated creature to attack anything that caught Lorn's attention.

Rigor looked on as Othar ran, finding it strange for him to be collecting trophies. She wondered how much she would have to carry with her if she had ever decided to take up the custom. Too much. Way too much. She grinned as the raptors invited her in. It was almost like a vampire thing with her. But she decided to play nice for Reirna's sake. She slinked behind them.

Lorn walked over examining the fresh corpse beneath his gaze, looking around the town he reached out and took hold of the raptors leg dragging him slowly off to the woods whistling to himself as he pondered the possibilties that were his now. Looking over at the mouse he sent it scurrying after the dragoness before removing the spell and leaving the creature to rot.

A rustle in the bushes woke Rayeith from his short-lived nap. The sky was dark now and shadows played off the surrounding trees while the fire danced merrily. Slipping out from the nap sack, Rayeith grabbed up his quarter staff and called out. "Who's there?" he demanded. The rustles stopped instantly, leaving the night eerily silent. But, before he could investigate any further, strange chitterings pierced the air and a light shot out at Rayeith head. Dodging quickly to the side, he managed to evade the spell and confront his assailant. A lone imp darted from the bushes and began issuing more strange chitter sounds that formed the basis of a spell. Having no time to bridge the distance between his foe, Rayeith quickly ducked behind a tree. An explosion of heat nailed the opposite side of the tree, nearly bursting the poor thing into flames. Taking advantage of the imp's failure, Rayeith charged out into the open and began lunging at the creature. A quick swipe to its wings brought it crashing to the ground, and another hit brought an end to its life. Sweating and gasping in the wake of his adrenaline, Rayeith went over to his bag and removed a thin scalpel. Using its savage sharpness, he quickly made the appropriate incisions into the imps limp body. He reached through the thing's hideous blue blood and removed its gall, storing it neatly in a paper wrap. He could use it later for a fire repellent potion. Before he could scavenge the rest of the parts, however, Rayeith noticed a light between the thick forest's many limbs. Walking through with extreme care, he quietly made his way to a better vantage spot. What he saw terrified him. Running back for his things, Rayeith hurried to get to Chorrol. There wasn't much time left. A gate had appeared just miles outside the city.

Rigor stopped as movement caught her eye. It was a mouse.. But it was animated despite its appearance. Apparently she wasn't the only one interested in the dark arts. As it scurried, it seemed to be dropping flesh like a leper. The thought of a human leper, walking with the same manner, made her giggle before she promptly kicked the mouse, ending its life once again. Though now it was dead, it's decayed body twitched, still in the grip of the residue of darkness, yet too far beyond being functional.
She saw what seemed to be the culprit of the reanimated mouse dragging off the dead raptor's body. Such a noble fellow to be dragged off and ripped apart so savagely and distastefully. The irony made it hard for her giggle not to evolve into a laugh. This day had been so full of it.

Lorn turned around at the sight of the dragon giggling, dragging the body off the road he walked over his eyes glittering behind his hood. "I'm trusting your humor means that your not one of the necrophobic citizens of this place, always ranting about things beyond their knowing?" the bones of the mouse crunched beneath his foot. His hands were tucked into his sleves, his fingers toying with his poisned dagger in case of trouble.

Reirna watched as the new dragoness kicked the mouse away. The air around it wreaked of a fouls tench which was almost palpable. She slanted her eyes a bit with distaste and made her way into their home. Tezztor however was not so patient, pulling out his dagger the purple diamond glowing fiercely detecting dark energies. His eyes turned to Rigor and slanted menacingly. "Witch you have brought foulness into our city. Even after the kindness my love has shown you. You dishonor us with your presence." he said as he moved about getting into a better striking position. The demon's bane was a powerful dagger, able to completely sap the magical energies of its victim, and if they were wicked would sap their souls killing them outright. He snarled in anger and his muscles tenses and he circled her looking for an opening. Several minutes went by before one presented itself, he rushed her and as his blade flew through the air a crack of lightning struck halting his assault.
The air grew a deep red and ominous lighting bolts fizzled around wildly. "What have you done?" he asked angrily as the very ground began to shake. Reirna came running back out of the house. 'Tezz what is going on" she asked worried as she clung onto him looking about. Around them citizens panicked and rushed into their homes. 'A giant gate outside the door" one of the archers up in the tower yelled. "Quick secure the door demons are pouring out to attack." the archer commanded. Suddenly the town bell rang followed by dozens of well armed raptor knights and soldiers rushing to the gate with large wooden planks to brace it. Tezztor looked at Reirna and held her. "Don't worry I won't let anything happen to you." he said as he faced the gate in a protective manner. Not to be held as weak she stood aside him, her claws glowing in a powerful holy spell. "Together." she forced a smile. A plink of a arrow sounded as impending doom from the tower, followed by another after another in a ever increasing pace. Soon demons could be heard pounding at the gates, snarling and growling. A immensely powerful raptor paladin stood nearby, holy auras eminating off him like a thick stew. His armor shined as if it gave off its own light even in this darkness of reds. "Alright men, lets show these demons why raptors are not to be messed with" he rallied.

Running ahead of the demon army that now poured through the trees toward Chorrol, Rayeith barely managed to slip through the gate as it closed. On a usual day, the raptors would have stopped to question him; Today was not such a normal day, however. He ran unquestioned into city and had he not heard a chittering sound on the other side of the gate, he would have went into hiding and waited for the guards to settle this. But that chittering was an omen for defeat. The imps outside could easily burn down the wooden gate. Rayeith realised that unless he helped these people, he would die with them. He quickly began hunting for whoever was in charge.

In Othar's mad dash, he began to cackle madly. Making a complete U-turn, Othar ran towards the gate, barreling through anything and everything that stood between him and the demons. Moving as a gray-black blur, Othar put all his might into a great leap, clearing the heads of several guards, and those of Tezztor and his merry band of squabblers. Will all the force of a crazed bear, Othar ripped the gate of the city open and ran towards the ominous gate to oblivion. Demons, travelers, deer, wolves, if it crossed his path, he barreled through it. This was a test. And Othar intended to pass.

Lorn turned smiling as he saw the gate, "Well that saved me a bit of time" he said picking up a pice of the dead flesh and using it as a focus for his necromantic powers. A path of darkness worked its way through the light from the holy spells around him. The shadows enveloped a smaller deamon and the creature gave a shrill cry as its flesh started to peel away from the bones. Lorn's eyes glittered happily as the knowledge was relayed back to him. Before the ecoing cry had left the air the skeleton of the beast turned and attacked its comrads as lorn chuckled happily concentrating on another deamon. He glanced around, the village of holy palidens and god pleasing raptors held no intrest to him, not while they were alive at least. He ment them no harm and figured that as long as he was helping they would leave him be, his hand never strayed far from his poisned dagger all the same incase they made a poor desicion.

"Oh for the love of-" Buddy yelled as the ground began to shake underneath him; he grabbed the begar and lifted him up onto the sheep's back. He stood up and after a few shakey steps he balanced himself out again, getting used to the new weight on his back "W-what the hell is going on?!" Not expecting any reply he twisted where he stood and began to run at top speed away from the source of the shaking.
Raptors poured past him as he ran, all clad in armour and half glowing in magic powers; he skidded to a halt once he found the way blocked by a wall of raptors. He turned on the spot, much lighter on his feet than when he was entering the village earlier, and began to dodge back and forth between the raptors. A hut was approaching at full speed, but with a flighty step his powerful legs propelled him up; his foot found a hold almost at once and he flung himself four feet above the waring raptors before landing heavily at a dead stop. Usually he managed more but with the dead (or dying) weight of the begar on his back he wasn't getting the lift he needed. This time it was a more literal wall facing him, as well as a shaking gate. Somehow he'd made it to the front lines. He turned to a raptor next to him, an almost etheral glow coming from the raptor's armour "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

Rayeith watched in dismay as the speedy barbarian flung the gates open and took off into the forest towards the gate. All chances of them fortifying their position was lost as demons began entering the gate of the city. Warriors with sword, hammer, axe, and the likes met the opposition, buying Rayeith some time to cover his robe in the Imp gall he had removed just earlier that day. The greasy substance would give him a fair amount of resistance to the fire spells that demons were so akin to. Finally ready for battle, Rayeith began maneuvering his way toward the gate with his quarter-staff in hand and his faded red robe wrapped around him tight.
